Responsibilities for this ETL- Ab Initio Developer will be:

  • Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution.

  • Participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations.

  • Incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and

  • understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps.

  • Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.

  • Document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules. Participate in code reviews and ensure all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.

  • Identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide

  • feedback to the final user documentation.

  • Conduct research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently

  • exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible.

  • Analyze impact of proposed data warehouse solutions across the business, develop use cases, functional specification and source to target mappings to demonstrate business requirements to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews.

  • Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions, demos, and the development of appropriate documentation.

  • Coordinate with development team to implement data warehouse and business intelligence.

  • No direct reports and no managerial duties. Individual contributor level position.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field

  • Experience: 3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in job offered or five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate.

  • Work experience in a software engineering-related occupation.

  • Experience must include:

    • ETL/Data warehousing technology (Ab Initio), BRE;

    • Unix, PERL, Teradata;

    • PL/SQL programming;

    • Data Modeling;

    • Oracle

    • TWS and Control M Schedulers.
