We are looking for an Art Assistant teacher to join our team at Sense Kaleidoscopes - a unit of Ayathi Trust.

We are the first autism-specific art college for youngsters with autism and Asperger's syndrome in Bengaluru. We are also game-changers in this space and are running the first exclusive autism-specific art classrooms which host curated learning environments and offer a strength-based autism-specific curriculum that is tested and validated to support individual needs by celebrating the strengths that accompany a neuro-diverse mind.

We are expecting someone with a passion for offering the best possible opportunities to our students and an ability to manage the wide range of additional needs that accompany many of our students. Flexibility and a positive approach to change are essential for this role.

The art teacher should be able to encourage creativity and self-expression among students. Attention to detail and responsiveness to students and their creativity is necessary. You should be able to plan lessons on art in accordance with student learning objectives. It is necessary to develop students' drawing, coloring, and painting techniques. Recording, documenting, and reporting on students' progress is mandatory. Assigning and grading projects and examinations. Ensuring that the classroom is clean after each lesson. Monitoring inventory and sourcing art supplies, as needed. Attending faculty and parent-teacher meetings. Building relationships and mentoring students. Organizing and taking part in school events, outings, and activities. Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions/exhibitions, and related duties as required. Demonstrated experience in a variety of art techniques. Upgrade with new trends and technologies related to their subject. A passion for learning and sharing your knowledge with others. Good classroom management and a strong disciplinarian. Upstanding ethics and integrity.

Required experience/ Skills and Qualifications

We are happy to consider applications from newly qualified teachers or experienced teachers based on their teaching ability and passion. We will give preference to those from the BPL (Below Poverty Line) community.

Qualification:

BA/MA in Fine Arts/Visual Arts

Salary- 15000 - 20000 per Month

Contract length: 24 months (about 2 years)
