Art Director

Looking for an Art Director in the US who is seeking an exciting position curating and designing top quality product offerings for Urban Outfitters, Target, Disney, and over 15,000 other retail locations.

At Denik, we work with global artists and in-house creative teams to design notebooks, journals and other stationery items. Then, with every product sold, a portion of proceeds goes directly to building schools, and to the artist that helped design it.

Our customers and partners have helped to fund 5 schools (two in Mali, one in Guatemala, one in Laos, and one in Ghana).

Position Description

  • Lead in Product Development - Curate Artwork/Designs for seasonal collections and new product releases.

  • Build out trend boards for each season and execute on findings.

  • Plan our product roadmap (future products, art releases) working directly with our CEO.

  • Retail Marketing/Design (POP Displays, Catalogs, Presentations)

  • Creating and Editing Brand assets and marketing materials.

  • Some production design as needed.

  • Work directly with all design contractors to ensure brand consistency, and timely execution of projects.

  • Market research and brand strategy.

Position Requirements

  • This is a Full-time position..

  • This position would ideally be in our corporate office, but remote work is a definite possibility.

  • 3+ years experience in Design roles.

  • Must possess a strong communication skill set.

  • Must have experience in designing for print.

  • Must have experience designing for consumer products companies.

  • Experience designing for the stationery/gift industries is a huge plus.

  • Experience with project management and vendor relations is a plus.

  • Proficiency/aptitude with related software tools including the Adobe applications.

  • Must be comfortable working autonomously, with the ability to solve problems and adapt.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay for this position is on a case-by-case basis and is heavily influenced by past experience.
