Borboleta Beauty is an industry leader within the beauty space focusing on premier eyelash extension education and products. As an innovative company with rapid growth, Borboleta has developed the largest lash artist training program in the world. We are located in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. We are growing aggressively and are looking for a talented and experienced Creative Director to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for a creative visionary to make a major impact at a pivotal time for our company.  

 

Position Overview-

The Creative Director will verbally and visually communicate the brand, providing a consistent image internally and externally. This individual will support the Vice President of Marketing and Founders in a fast-paced, hands-on, growing beauty company with an indisputable reputation and entrepreneurial spirit. The Creative Director will be responsible for leading and directing the brand initiatives in creative. They will collaborate with various departments to support existing or potential initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience as a Creative Director. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining consistent brand image, look-and-feel, and vision across all Marketing materials: product curation, customer experience, online experience, promotional/communications materials, presentation approaches, photography, video, advertising, event activities, and various brand partnerships

  • Responsible for product package design, including primary, secondary and promotional packaging that visually communicates product story.

  • Responsible for contribution in a strategic brand vision under guidance of Vice President of Marketing and Founders in partnership with cross-functional teams.

  • Measurements of success found in sales growth, consumer engagement, web traffic, and brand awareness and desirability.

  • Expertise in art, design, and voice

  • Oversee artwork and copy from concept to production

  • Support photo and video shoots, from concept to production; budgeting, talent, styling, lighting, location scouting, scripting, storyboarding and post-production editing

  • Develop visual expression and maintain visual documentation, style guide, brochures, and templates for the brand across all channels

  • Analyze industry trends to maintain fresh creative approaches

  • Mentor designers through strategic solutions, while fostering a collaborative work environment interdepartmentally

  • Liaise with external vendors, teams, and contractors to coordinate proper project execution

  • Manage creative budget

  • Demonstrate leadership in engaging and working with internal and external resources

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or relevant work experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of work experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Creative Director

  • Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Expert in graphic design, UI/UX design (web & mobile), typography, print production and copy

 

Required Skill Sets:

  • Experience in Beauty/Cosmetic markets preferred but not required

  • Experience with a variety of mediums: print, packaging, web, video, etc.

  • Strong leadership in establishing work priorities for multiple projects, accepting responsibility, developing confidence & respect, and shifting priorities to accommodate change while communicating priorities to appropriate team members.

  • Detail-Oriented ? Takes pride and initiative in one's work. Is well-organized, meticulous, and takes ownership of projects. Precise and demanding in flawless execution
