Creative Lead / Art Director

Posted: Aug 30, 2022

We are looking for a Creative Lead/Art Director with 3+ years of industry experience. Someone is up for the challenge of a pivotal role in creating a global fashion label from India. Does it look like something up your alley? Check the requirements below.

Who we are

We are Monks of Method, a menswear apparel brand that brings purpose into clothing for urban monks. Modern men have been led astray by confusing trends and futile choices. In the name of luxury, they are offered dilution in quality, irrevocable damage to the environment and betrayal of craftmanship. We present them with a fresh, smart-casual brand that stands for authenticity, quality and timelessness.

Brand positioning:

Monks of Method is a contrarian, "hostile", or "punk" brand. It defies the notion of typical luxury brands that have to appear smooth, sophisticated and refined to justify their price point. Instead, the Monk's approach is a spartan, stoic, brutal and honest approach to luxury. We hope this approach will bring a refreshing take in a sea of sameness. We don't intend to please everybody; instead, we aim to create a cult of consumers who identify as monks. It's not easy being the Monk. After all, monks go against the flow in search of truth, a method to lead a more meaningful existence, dedicating yourself to strengthening yourself ceaselessly. The brand is dedicated to these individuals.

However, we have a task at hand. Fast fashion has numbed customers into being indifferent to quality, the true cost of clothing and heritage. To create a brand that breaks the mould of modern norms of aesthetics, luxury and authenticity, People need to be educated; the method needs to be preached.
