As part of our infrastructure team, you strive to make Freeletics services scale with its users. You contribute to a lean, friendly engineering team that value collaboration, constant improvement, and positive feedback. In addition to managing the infrastructure, you advise developers on DevOps related topics and deliver quality automation practices within an agile Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environment. Your responsibilities

  • Keep our heavily used production platform robust and resilient to be available 24x7

  • Improve our existing platform concerning scalability, deployment, and reliability to keep and increase our availability beyond 99.977%

  • Implement and advocate for using continuous integration and continuous delivery best practices across the engineering teams

  • Monitor the platform to create insides and support troubleshooting

  • Share the knowledge regarding operation topics with the engineering team and give back to the community whenever you can through meetups, blogs, opensource, etc.

Your profile

  • Substantial professional experience of working in an environment that supports continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous testing, and adoption of infrastructure as code practices

  • Experienced with public cloud environments (e.g. AWS) and platform automation

  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g Terraform)

  • Solid experience with Docker and Docker orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes or similar)

  • Hands-on scripting skills (e.g. Python, Shell)

  • Very good knowledge in managing and tuning PostgreSQL servers

  • Experience with platform monitoring (e.g. New Relic, ELK, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana)

  • It’s beneficial if you are familiar on operating Ruby on Rails applications

  • Hands-on approach with a “getting things done” mentality

  • Very good communicator, team player, and enjoy working in an Agile environment
