We are architects specializing in K-12, higher educational facilities, public use projects, medical facilities and retail projects. 

Talent Summary:

The Environmental Graphic Designer will assist in the graphic design and branding of projects, will produce design presentation material, and will assist in the production and documentation of signage. Must be able to demonstrate basic knowledge in architectural construction drawings and concept development. Must have a willingness to expand knowledge in typography, architectural design techniques/ technology, and application of interior design principles in relation to wayfinding graphics.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Prefer BS in Graphic Design, Art, Interior Design or related discipline
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in brand strategy, print design, and environmental graphics, preferably in K-12 educational facilities, community colleges, public works, medical/hospital facilities, or retail projects

Supervision and Delegation:

  • Reports to Director of Interior Architecture/Project Architect
  • Assists in development of graphics during all phases of the project
  • Performs non routine assignments of substantial variety and complexity
  • May assist in development of project material/ finish binders

Skills:

  • Adept at developing creative, up-front design concepts and able to discuss creative ideas with team to help elevate the design
  • Collaborate with interior designers to deliver projects ranging from complex signage, wayfinding, graphics, branding and print production such as material/ finish binders 
  • Demonstrate exceptional vision, with project involvement from conception to completion
  • Integrate messaging, color, imagery, type and composition into two and three-dimensional built environments
  • Familiarity with architectural construction documents, scales, sections, plans, and elevations
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • Use of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other 3D Modeling programs a plus
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Strong graphic and design presentation skills
  • Ability to use creativity and original thinking in design issues with a keen eye for detail and exemplary taste in design and graphic layouts
  • Ability to effectively participate in office design charettes, team design critiques and pin-ups
  • Ability to follow the design intent of graphic and verbal direction
