Job Description:


CSG Actuarial is looking for a Front-End / UI Engineer to join our collaborative and growing team. The Engineering Team has a role in building the technology to support our ever-growing client base. As a Front-End / UI Engineer at CSG Actuarial you will have the opportunity to be a part of the success of the organization by creating and implementing responsive web/mobile UIs for both internal and external applications ensuring high quality, user centered designs while remaining consistent with company brand and strategy.



Responsibilities:



  • Co-create scalable web and mobile applications with other engineers

  • Collaborate in our product & design team to create new features, tools, and improve functionality and user-experience of our current offerings.

  • Lead direction of front-end engineering and application user-interface design

  • Assist in back-end, API development


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelors of Computer Science, Web Design, or at least 3 years of experience

  • Expert understanding of HTML, CSS and proficiency with JavaScript, AJAX

  • Experience using a front-end framework, responsive web-design

  • Experience utilizing RESTful web services, APIs

  • Solid understanding of HTTP standards and networking in general

  • Ability to manipulate graphics/images for use in applications


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with latest technologies including ES6+, HTML5, CSS3

  • Proficiency with Bootstrap, and Vue.js frameworks

  • Understanding of bundling, transpiling—Webpack, Babel, Sass

  • Experience with a server-side language

  • Experience collaborating with other developers using Git/GitHub

  • Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.


Extra Credit:



  • Proficiency with Python, template engines, MVC pattern

  • Experience with Google Cloud

  • iOS SDK and Android SDK experience
