Job Description

Nonfat Media is looking for Front End Engineers to build the next generation of products and services for Actors, Talent Agents, and Casting Directors. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Back End Engineers, Database Administrators, and QA Engineers to ship new features and product improvements to Actors Access, Breakdown Express, and other services used widely within the entertainment industry. Positions are full-time, permanent, and in-house, so candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and local to the Los Angeles area or willing to relocate.


  • Expertise in modern JavaScript (ES6+, Node.js, React, Redux, Webpack, etc.)

  • Knowledge of HTML5/CSS3, including responsive web design and pre-processors such as LESS and Sass

  • Experience consuming RESTful web services and interacting with third-party APIs

  • Familiarity with back end technologies (we use Lucee and SQL Server)

  • An eye for great design and building highly usable interfaces

  • Proficiency with Git

  • Experience working on an Agile team and with project management software such as JIRA

  • Desire to learn new technologies and trends in web

  • Experience building compositional / functional components for reusability

  • Able to multi-task and enjoys working in a fast-paced team environment
