OakNorth Analytical Intelligence (UK) Ltd: Full Stack Engineer at OakNorth Analytical Intelligence (UK) Ltd (London, UK) (London, UK)

Posted: Feb 28, 2019

ONAI has a small core product team in London which has built out the first version of its product. We’re now ready to increase the size of our team, whilst staying true to focus on delivery and efficiency.

Our current stack consists of Python, Postgres, ElasticSearch, and React. We deploy on AWS using Docker, and Terraform.

In this role you’ll be working directly with the Director of Product and the product team to build and deliver software to ONAI's customers. This is an extremely high impact role and a great opportunity to be instrumental in defining the product vision, as well as having ownership over large parts of the codebase.

We’re still in early stages of our product development, and have customers and beta users. Given our current stage, we’re looking for engineers who can be comfortable across the stack, although we’re certainly interested in full-stack engineers with a speciality in a given area (for example, frontend/React and/or DevOps).

Some of the things you'd be interested in:

  • Willingness to learn new technologies

  • A singular focus on execution and delivery

  • Self-starting. This is an opportunity to own a large piece of the tech and outcomes for the company

  • We’re open to expertise any language background, but we use Python/Javascript day to day

  • Shell scripting and UNIX familiarity

  • Familiarity with CI/CD and willingness to contribute to making our deploy process as smooth as possible

  • Some knowledge of modern deploy tools - Docker/Kubernetes/CircleCI

  • Strong communication skills

  • If you have any public GitHub (or other) repositories please let us know. We’d love to see what you like working on!

  • Generous compensation

  • Your choice of equipment - choose a MacBook Pro or Dell XPS

  • Central London office location with discounts in surrounding commercial establishments

  • Meritocratic working environment
