Graphic Designer

The role of the Graphic Designer is to create visually engaging and informative marketing materials that successfully engage and inform the intended target audiences. The graphic designer will be responsible for creation of new layouts as well as the adaptation of existing layouts for print, website, social media and presentations are expected. Other tasks include support and general production work related to projects within the PA Cyber Marketing and Communications department.


  • Bachelor's Degree in multimedia or graphic design or related field  
  • Design firm or advertising agency work experience preferred
  • Diploma or certified courses in design, film, social media, communications, etc. is a plus
  • Minimum of one year design development experience including hands on content creation and implementation in all of the following areas: print design, web design, video development, social media content creation and PowerPoint presentation development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Innovative, creative, and collaborative
  • Proficiency using the Adobe Creative Suite products including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, After Effects and Premier ? knowledge of Dreamweaver is a plus
  • Familiarity with the creation of click generating web ads, social media postings and general email marketing campaigns
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Child Abuse Clearance; Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check; Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Clearance


  • Utilize modern graphic design styles, to execute the strategies set forth by the Director of Marketing and Communication while maintaining brand integrity within each project.
  • Create both static and motion visuals
  • Develop and present visual storytelling through infographics
  • Design for social media
  • Utilize wireframes, storyboards, and prototypes for use in design review
  • Conduct general user testing
  • Work under pressure, meet deadlines, handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
  • Apply results-oriented, design thinking methodology (empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test)
  • Multi-task to complete projects in an organized and timely fashion using deadline-driven work ethic
  • Conceptualize with internal clients to produce useful creative
  • Attend meetings as requested
  • Travel as required, must be able to travel
  • Work extended hours as needed or requested
  • Perform any additional duties deemed necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the organization by the Director of Marketing and Communications
