About the Job
PrintLab (www.weareprintlab.com) is an online platform of 3D printing projects and lesson plans for schools. We guide learners through educational videos, tutorials and design methods to make assistive technology, sustainable products and other impactful solutions.
We are currently looking for a Junior Content Creator to join our small, creative team based in Chorley (UK) on an initial 6 month probation period. The role is ideal for recent graduates of design-based University courses but is also open to the wider community. Students in their final year of study are also welcome to apply.
Day to Day Tasks
- Working alongside our curriculum developer to plan new projects and mini-courses for our learning platform
- Developing 3D printing and Fusion 360 tutorials
- Developing learning resources and managing aspects of Make:able ? our yearly assistive technology challenge that we host with Autodesk
- Creating social media and blog content
- Delivering online presentations and webinars
- Collaborating with our partners and pioneers on various marketing and education activities
Requirements (Essential)
- In-depth knowledge of Fusion 360 software
- Experience in working through the iterative design process on creative projects
- Experience using FFF 3D printing technology
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work both in a team and independently
- Passionate about 3D printing in education
Requirements (Preferred)
- Design-based degree
- Experience with creating video-based tutorials and content
- Basic knowledge of Micro:bit/Arduino
- Basic graphic design knowledge
