Marketing Content Specialist

Jomar Group, a manufacturer and distributor of innovative plumbing, industrial and HVAC components, is seeking a Marketing Content Specialist to initiate and develop content creation for the Jomar Valve and HCi brand.

The ideal Marketing Content Specialist candidate would possess education and experience commensurate to 5+ years of post-internship professional experience in B2B marketing, preference to those that have proven success in the manufacturing industry or similar field. This role would be responsible for the development, cultivation, and expansion of all marketing assets.

As a content specialist, you will work closely with the marketing manager to effectively communicate the features and benefits of our products and brand in a B2B capacity. A successful content specialist should have the ability to be an expert storyteller and be very detail-oriented. To succeed in this role, you must create and edit video, take and edit photography, and manage copy and graphic design, with an ability to prioritize and focus on creating new content to improve sales and brand awareness for the company.


  • Develop and expand the marketing collateral library, including but not limited to video, specification sheets, price books, advertising, flyers, brochures, and digital content for email campaigns and social
  • Collaborate with peers to produce high quality, compelling content to translate our story, brand, and products
  • Video creation- Establish storyboards, manage, film, edit, and record videos for trainings, product, and informational pieces
  • Photograph and retouch product images for use in sales collateral, advertising, and promotional materials
  • Analyze content marketing metrics and make changes as needed, keeping a pulse of industry standards and expectations
  • Champion email communication, with an emphasis on drip campaigns, tradeshow or event relevant communication, product announcements, and customer acquisitions
  • Social Media Management and content creation- creating graphics, copy, and content for publication in addition to scheduling
  • Assist in ad campaigns and development of creative assets for the overall ad strategy of the company
  • Create customized assets, such as email, flyers, and brochures for sales reps and regional managers
  • Maintain the quarterly company newsletter
  • Update packaging artwork for all products, such as box artwork, tags, and stickers
  • Contribute to writing, editing, and reviewing copy for press releases and other publications as necessary
  • Design and work with vendors for tradeshows and events
  • Redraw customer logos for private label use
  • Provide support with website maintenance, such as product page updates, landing pages, and development of wireframes and new pages via hardcoding and/or WordPress website development
  • Conduct competitor and demographic analysis and provide content fit for the audience
  • Support regional managers, external sales teams, and internal staff as needed

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Marketing, Marketing & Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Business Administration, or related field experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B audience, preferably in manufacturing
  • The ability to consistently meet tight deadlines
  • Expert proficiencies: Adobe Suite, including, but not limited to Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Audition, Adobe PremierePro, Adobe PremiereRush, Adobe After Effects, the Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Word, Outlook), Coding (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, PHP, Bootstrap framework, Brackets)
  • Strong project management capabilities
  • Excellent planning, analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Preferred experience in B2B settings
  • Preferred experience in Google Adwords & Analytics, WordPress development, Hootsuite, Nutshell, MailChimp, SmartSheet
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at a time
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with team members and clients
