Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in program management on user experience and mobile app projects.
Experience with UX design and research disciplines, tools, and processes.
Experience contributing through program management of products and design systems.
As a User Experience Design Manager, you will:
Apply conceptual thinking to create world-class digital services and UX concepts across multiple platforms by bringing together business goals, user requirements and aligning them with technical possibilities and limitations
Design user experience concepts ranging from low fidelity concepts to high fidelity interactive mock-ups
Use rapid prototyping methods ? ranging from paper to digital prototyping, to quickly and instantly communicate ideas with client and project teams
Support product definition and specification activities and create style and design guides as part of the process to aid the project delivery team
Work closely with development teams while participating as a key member in dverse delivery teams that include business analysts, program and project managers, product owners, client team members, domain experts, software developers and other designers.
Responsibilities
Lead and partner with UX team leadership and cross-functional partners to deliver trust-building and counsel through all program interactions.
Define team priorities and oversee key project decision-making, including: requirements gathering, scheduling, resource allocation, coordination of teams as well as approval processes, and proving clear communication to cross-functional team leads and executive management regarding program status, resource requirements, risks, and priorities.
Build and manage plans for UX programs and execute them in collaboration with stakeholders.
Partner with Product and Engineering directors, product leaders and technical program manager leads to streamline processes, simplify execution, and manage objectives and key results.
Identify team needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, and asset management, as well as driving required changes to make sure the UX team is enabled to create impactful user experiences.
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
Experience working in the gaming industry and an understanding of key customer / market trends /drivers (such as regulation) and how they will impact expectations of what makes the best experiences in the context of the game Services industry. You will get the opportunity to work across sectors, but need to have a spike in gaming services.
Experience in planning, designing and delivering user centred design projects, user research activities and user interface designs across channels (e.g. web, mobile, tablets and other custom applications)
Experience applying user centred design processes while working in multidisciplinary delivery teams including customers, the client, business analysts and software developers
Experience planning and running client workshops
A sound understanding of the design thinking process and its applicability in the software/product development lifecycle
Experience creating User Interface designs using tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure, Figma, amongst others
Ability to communicate ideas through storyboards, wireframes and interactive prototypes
Understand project management methods including waterfall and Agile and the role of UX in these environments.
Have a basic understanding of capabilities and limitations of various mobile operating systems such as iOS and Android
A track record of having demonstrated the above skills, for either internal or external clients is a must
Set yourself apart:
Knowledge of web-based technologies and their impact on the feasibility of design solutions, including the capabilities and limitations of technologies such as Java, CSS, HTML5 etc.
Mastery of design systems
Experience leading small or large teams of junior UX designers, planning and managing UX engagements and budgets
Experience designing user experience concepts for wearables, IoT, augmented reality and virtual reality (XR), voice design and other innovations
