The Junior Sales Engineer (SE) role offers a tremendous opportunity to work with new and emerging technologies whilst collaborating with talented senior engineers and architects across some of the largest media and entertainment organizations.



Job Summary



The Junior SE will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise on the design and implementation of solutions leveraging the Video Platform products such as mpx OVP, Direct-To-Consumer (D2C), CDN, Live Linear streaming and VOD syndication (broadcast & digital).



The candidate will support all aspects of the sales process, including qualification, response to RFIs and RFPs, technical and commercial discussions, requirements gathering, hand-over to on-boarding teams for implementation, and continued engagement to identify up-sell opportunities.



This position requires a strong background in the online video industry and OTT landscape and ideally exposure to traditional broadcast, IPTV and/or Live Linear streaming workflows. Candidates will also require some programming or scripting experience. They will be able to present to both technical and non-technical personnel, and will also ideally be intimately familiar with mobile/app technology and services.



Daily activities




  • Deliver in-person and remote product demonstrations/presentations to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences, within prospects', customers' or partners' teams. The ability to translate complex technical design requirements into information that the customer can understand and respond to is essential.

  • Respond to technical questions, including coordinate responses to RFIs and RFPs across the Sales org.

  • Gather technical requirements, evaluate feasibility and work with implementation teams to assess and refine the requirements into a solution design.

  • Assist the Sales Director and Senior SEs creating proposals based on the identified solution requirements and design.

  • Provide sales feedback to product and partner management

  • Collaborate with the SE and Sales teams to establish product best practices, reference implementation and sales training and documentation

    Requirements






  • The ability to communicate with, and sell products to, software developers, project managers, CTOs and other similar functions, at a technical level.

  • A proven capacity to learn technical products fast.

  • Practical knowledge of web technologies (HTML, REST, JavaScript, SaaS, etc.)

  • The ability to formulate a strong articulation of the business value of our product line.

  • The ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships to maximize sales and revenue potential.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a charismatic presentation style.

  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize between multiple concurrent work threads.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership for the success of projects.

  • Good business acumen.

  • Self-motivation.

    Experience






  • 2+ years in technology leading clients through multi-vendor integrations.

  • 2+ year experience in technical sales or client consulting role.

  • Proven experience in the online video industry (OVP, OTT, Streaming Media, DRM, encoding/packaging, CDN, Commerce, AdTech, etc).

  • Experience with traditional broadcast VOD, IPTV or Live Linear streaming workflows an advantage.

  • Experience of SaaS systems and principles would be an advantage (eg. AWS, SFDC, etc.)

  • Experience of selling software products to software developers would be an advantage.

  • Ability to travel (up to 25%)
