In the aftermath of Covid, we are at an exciting juncture of change for the company. The role of Senior Art Director at Gel is ideal for a creative with agency experience to shape a team and design department in the company's vision.
A Senior Art Director at Gel is responsible for defining, communicating, and overseeing an initiative's creative strategy and visual direction with internal teams, external partners, and the client.
They are responsible for engaging and presenting the work they lead. The SAD must feel comfortable and organized to manage a team and communicate effectively in presentations.
Gel is a fast-paced environment. Our business is a mix of large and small initiatives.
Some projects are carefully and strategically developed over time; often, many are quick projects over a few days or weeks that our teams must engage rapidly to execute on time.
This role requires an individual who enjoys speaking to clients and presenting the agency's work and leadership.
The SAD will often collaborate with an external brand strategist on brand positioning or architecture when an assignment requires advanced strategic work or research.
Defining a competitive visual strategy through written project briefs is crucial to this role.
Above all, this role requires someone immersed in the art of design and branding and enjoys learning about design trends and audiences' impact and influence on products.
Education and Skills:
? A minimum of 5-8 years of agency or client-side experience in the CPG or brand development space.
? Must have evolved verbal and presentation skills presenting to senior-level owners of brand divisions.
? Ability to think/create quickly, especially during design development.
? Strong understanding of the different marketing platforms and how to take advantage of what they offer.
? Push creative boundaries by constantly pursuing new concepts and approaches, bringing new ideas to the table.
? Articulate ideas effectively, written and verbally, to internal teams and non-design audiences.
? Engaged and curious about the world around you ? culture, music, film, sport, art, entertainment, etc.
? Must be able to work autonomously ? taking ownership of your workload and juggling several projects at once.
? Team building skills, proactively seeking opportunities to develop team members.
? Thrives in a collaborative environment.
? Computer literacy with expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite.
