Senior Front End Developer

We are seeking an attentive, pixel perfecting Senior Front End Developer who is fun, creative and loves to solve challenging problems to contribute to the front ends development of our web based applications. The ideal fit will at least 5 years of experience working as part of a team on small to medium scale applications, who is interested in a role involving leadership and mentoring of less senior members of the team. The primary goal is to advance us forwards technologically, while delivering a stellar service and value to our customers. **Our team** We are a growing team of like minded engineers, working in a SCRUM driven model. Team meetings can be filled with ideas, suggestions or diverge into discussions around anything techie. It’s encouraged and supported to keep up to date with industry advances through continuing education, relevant training and personal development. **Primary Responsibilities** - Build new responsive front ends sitting on top of PHP frameworks (primarily Laravel blade templating). - Help maintain and extend existing applications. - Proactively identify coding efficiency opportunities and be able to lead less senior developers on the team. - Developing new user-facing features and recommending improvements. - Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI / UX designs. - Working closely with the other teams (testing / design / project management) to ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and comply with the specifications. - Cross browser testing and compatibility. - Ensuring accessibility standards are strictly adhered to. **Additional Skills and Experience** - Managing source code using VCS (ideally Git). - Knowledgeable about composer, npm and package management procedures. - Awesome HTML5 and CSS3 skills. - Using and configuring CSS preprocessors (SASS, SCSS, Less). - Able to build intuitive user interfaces when given design direction. - Likely Attitude “Near enough” or “almost” will not do. - Cares deeply about the standard of output. - Knowledgeable, selfless with time. - Open to feedback. - Willing to learn. - Fun and friendly. - Always has a positive outlook. - Intelligent problem solver. **The Company** Memiah is on a mission to create a healthier, happier society.
