Senior Graphic Designer

Posted: Jan 11, 2022

UPPAbaby is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer to join our lean and mean brand marketing design team. You will be concepting and presenting original ideas for campaigns. From printed brochures and POP, to emails and social posts, the types of projects will differ day-to-day, so you will get to create compelling designs using various mediums. This role is key to bringing the brand to life through purpose-driven design.

UPPAbaby is an American company that produces premium juvenile gear. By drawing on more than three decades of experience, our products deliver the highest standard of innovation, functionality and style while meeting the needs of today's parents. As a brand, we strive to provide exceptional customer experience that families can expect throughout their parenthood journey. We are committed to giving back through the UPPAbaby Gives Back program by providing safe transport for families in need. To date, UPPAbaby has donated more than 2 million dollars of in-kind product including strollers, car seats and accessories through our charitable partnerships and initiatives.

We are looking for a motivated, solution-driven creative to work alongside us as we grow our design team. We want a candidate who revels in off-the-wall brainstorms, thrives in finding the perfect shot for visual boards, and who flourishes in a collaborative environment to bring fresh ideas to life. You are able to work independently and with autonomy, while identifying priorities in managing your projects. You should be able to make effective and relevant decisions based on an understanding of the goals of the marketing and creative teams, and also intuitively incorporate feedback into your work. You care deeply about quality and execution, have the ability to make compelling arguments in support of a vision, and have the maturity to see the value in multiple solutions and multiple points of view.

  • Reporting to the Creative Director, you will creatively contribute to a variety of projects, both digital and printed. Without ties to a specific medium, you can explore new materials and methods.
  • We're a design team that works hard and plays hard. We encourage each other to grow and succeed through feedback and critiques, and support knowledge-sharing and mentorship opportunities. We care about your career growth and work to assign opportunities based on individual passions and what will help each team member develop into a well-rounded contributor.
  • Be a part of a fast-paced environment, working alongside and collaborating with the brand marketing and communications teams, where you will develop creative solutions to meet marketing objectives.
  • Since product R&D and customer experience departments are also under the same roof, you can see first-hand the process of how products go to market and how improvements come from customer feedback. Your work can draw from the knowledge and expertise of other departments.
  • Competitive salary, flexible hours, currently one day work-from-home
  • Excellent health, dental and vision insurance
  • Life insurance, LTD and STD paid by UPPAbaby. Voluntary life, accident and critical illness if interested.
  • 401K with match
  • New Rockland office with in-house gym, a laid-back culture, no dress code
  • Weekly catered lunches and snacks, drinks and cold brew on tap
  • Corporate discount on our gear

  • Design printed and digital integrated marketing materials, including concept and ideation, visual research, and creative assignments while following brand guidelines and best practices
  • Manage multiple projects, remaining flexible through multiple revisions while keeping keen attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Maintain brand integrity with logo use, messaging, imagery, across all materials and global versions, with consistency and cohesiveness
  • Provide support for team members as needed

  • 7+ years in a design field
  • A supporting portfolio of print and digital work, demonstrating strong compositional and typographical skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in owning projects from concept to delivery, art directing campaigns, executing independently, and communicating status
  • Well-versed in best practices for web and social
  • Positive attitude and strong desire to keep learning new skills
  • Adaptable and flexible with a variety of situations, individuals, and groups
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Must be on-site 4 days a week (one day remote)
