This is a great opportunity to be part of something never done before – building up one of our new locations for IKEA Group Digital in Amsterdam. We seek to hire 200 people in the coming 18 months and this role is part of the start-up team.

As a Sr. UX Designer based in Amsterdam, you will be among the first Digital Experience Design hires dedicated to our Inventory, Logistics, and Fulfilment product teams. You will be responsible for crafting current and future digital experiences to ensure that our customer and co-worker order creation, management, and resolution digital experiences are simple, easy and delightful. You are energized by creating efficient task-based applications for co-workers to help deliver an amazing customer experience. You are a strong liaison between Inventory, Logistics, and Fulfilment developers and product UX designers embedded in customer facing teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.

You have experience within Inventory, Logistics, and Fulfilment digital experiences, naturally ask why, and are a seasoned designer than can work very proactively, independently, and who is not afraid to advocate for our users. You are skilled at a number of human-centered-design approaches and have experience building them into agile product design and delivery.

Your portfolio is strong and shows a wide variety of digital design, and human-centered-design methodologies underpinned by collaboration and a team approach.

You are also energized by jumping into something new. We are building the Digital Experience Design team from the ground up while also delivering compelling experiences. We are early in establishing the org, design maturity, approaches, and ways of working, and you would have the opportunity to help drive this in our new location. You contribute to driving a team atmosphere of positivity, empathy, connection and compassion to create psychological safety to foster a culture of craft, community and collaboration. You are experienced in remote working and reporting to a remote manager.
