Vilocity Interactive, Inc., honored by Phoenix Business Journal as a Top Interactive Agency and Website Development Firm 5 years in a row, is looking for an experienced Senior Web Developer for an immediate full-time position in our offices at High Street in North Phoenix (working from home temporarily during COVID). The focus of this position includes advanced website development, web applications, and enhancements to existing sites and systems. The Senior Web Developer is responsible for front-end and back-end website development, and integration with third-party Content Management Systems like WordPress, third-party ecommerce platforms like Stripe, as well as the proprietary Vilocity Content Management System, plus providing website updates and maintenance as needed after launch. 


  • Prefer a BA, BS, or MS in Web Development, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years experience in front-end and/or back-end web development and programming at a digital marketing agency or large corporation

  • Experience with LAMP, HTML/HTML5, CSS (including using preprocessors like SASS) , Bootstrap CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Object Oriented PHP, Smarty Templates, and MySQL databases

  • Knowledge of NPM, Angular, and React a plus

  • Expert skills with WordPress, Drupal and/or other Content Management Systems (CMS)

  • Familiarity with integrating with third-party systems such as Stripe, Shopify, Vue, InContact, Salesforce, and others

  • Creating and consuming REST and SOAP services

  • Version control using GIT

  • Experience with server configuration and management, especially with Plesk and CentOS

  • Nice-to-have’s include experience with CDNs and cloud hosting platforms like AWS and Azure, plus experience with package management tools like npm, yarn and Composer

  • Strong sense of web design and user experience fundamentals

  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Office


  • Work with our project managers to understand key business objectives such as functionality needs, tech requirements, and project timeline

  • Translate design comps into websites and landing pages, fleshing out UI/UX with our team

  • Identify user and system requirements for websites and applications

  • Write or review code for various applications

  • Integrate with third-party software when needed: Stripe, Vue, InContact, Shopify, Salesforce, and others

  • Run functionality testing and debug code

  • Optimize for mobile devices (responsive design)

  • Test and solve cross-browser and cross-platform issues

  • Use Photoshop files as required, slicing and resizing images if needed

  • Potential to be a team leader, overseeing other web developers

  • Create and/or update software documentation

  • Keep up-to-date and implement security best practices

  • Familiarity with network diagnostics tools

  • Understand web analytics tools and implement them on websites (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, etc.)

Work with remote clients and staff seamlessly and collaboratively
