Craftise is an up-and-coming brand that caters to DIY, fashion and home decor industries. We are curators and creators of a wide range of fabrics, trims, tassels and other craft supplies. We are now venturing into the digital design space creating illustrations and patterns, and promoting easy access to design and DIY resources.

LOCATION: This is a remote job and does not require the person to be physically present in our city or office.  

Job Description

We are looking to hire an Illustrator/Designer who has an eye for good design aesthetics paired with design knowledge and a willingness to learn to create high-quality artwork as per our digital and print requirements. As an Illustrator, you are required to work closely with us to develop inspiring artworks, patterns, and digital designs that will be used for our brand. You will be responsible for ideation and rendering draft illustrations from written words, models, sketched ideas, and from your imagination.

You should be a highly artistic person with a passion for creative technologies. You should be able to draw, paint and work on digital software in a variety of styles and mediums. You should also be able to help with designing social media posts. 

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Combining hand drawing and painting with digital media to create complete illustrations, artworks, patterns, etc

Come up with creative ideas based on the brief and references provided.

Designing posts for social media, newsletters, landing pages, etc. 

Brainstorming with the core team to come up with ideas.

Preparing and designing rough draft illustrations

Enhancing the design concept using a wide range of colors and graphics.

Applying complex isometric techniques to add perspective to design shapes.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

Qualifications: 

Enhancing a design concept using a wide range of colors and graphics.

Portfolio of completed illustrations.

Prior work experience as an Illustrator, graphic designer, or similar would be an added plus.

Work experience using Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator is a must

Drawing, painting, and digital drawing skills.

Strong conceptual and artistic skills.

Knowledge of textile designs and prints would also be an added plus

Experience:

Prior Work Experience is not a must as long as you provide OG works done by you. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn and grow with our brand

Demonstrable portfolio of completed illustrations

Skills: 

Strong aesthetic conceptual and artistic skills.

Solid knowledge of image editing and digital sketching software, like Photoshop, Indesign, and Adobe Illustrator

Drawing skills with an attention to detail (both by hand and digital pen)

Knowledge of textile designs and prints would also be an added plus

Knowledge of contemporary and abstract concepts would be beneficial.
