UI/UX Analyst & Designer (60-100%)

Data Cave Switzerland, a Swiss based web-application and hosting company, develops and operates the SaaS tool "acteamo" ? a wholistic productivity tool for knowledge workers. The development team of acteamo is an all virtual team of several developers, two test analysts, a requirement engineer and a UI/UX designer. At Data Cave Switzerland, we offer challenging and very interesting, fully remote work within an un-bureaucratic team having minimal hierarchy.

We are looking for an UI/UX Analyst & Designer to join our development team and who is motivated to take on the lead in the user experience and graphical design. Your main responsibility is the implementation of UI/UX design, wireframes and prototypes. You can take on an active role and define how the application looks and how it is experienced by users. You will work with the virtual development team as well as Data Cave management.


  • Gather and evaluate user requirements
  • Familiarize self and be regularly on top of competitor tools
  • Design and deploy User Experiences¬†
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
  • Overtake the process from drafting to implementation of UI/UX wireframes
  • Develop high fidelity UI mockups and prototypes for web and mobile applications
  • Build reusable libraries for future use
  • Engage and collaborate with team members and stakeholders
  • Audit and review the actual implementation and improve the UI/UX based on own analysis customer feedbacks

Skills and Qualifications

  • Validated experience and knowledge in UI/UX Analysis and Design for complex web applications and enterprise solutions
  • Excellent knowledge of wireframing and prototyping tools (such as Sketch, Figma, Balsamic)
  • Proficient knowledge of image authoring tools
  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence (or similar)
  • Good knowledge in modern design patterns
  • Familiar with Scrum/or own positive experience with an agile team (nice to have)
  • Good understanding of versioning tools, such as¬†Mercurial or Git (nice to have)
  • Exhibit self-initiative; pro-active actions for benefit of the product and team
  • Collaboration and teamwork are part of your nature
  • Proficient competence in English conversation and in written form
  • Romanian/Polish/Ukrainian language skill(s) is a plus
