Phone2Action is seeking a rockstar to join our UX & Visual Design team and own the look-and-feel of our new products and features. We want someone who’s experienced and comfortable with a fast-paced startup environment, which means you’ll be given ownership and great responsibility.

Reporting to the VP of Product, you will have the opportunity to play a major role in building products that reach millions of people.  Phone2Action is constantly looking to iterate, evolve, and improve our products and working processes. You will be expected to develop a deep understanding of our users and act as the user-advocate during the product development process, helping to ensure that we create products that people love to use.


  • An interactive prototyping guru who is able to test ideas in front of real users.

  • A strong visual design expert who can create informed eye-catching and engaging compositions.

  • Obsessed with understanding how users interact with your product through interviews, observation, data collection, and testing.

  • Experienced with agile and lean startup methodologies as a UX designer. 

  • A team player who loves working with smart people and is flexible and adaptable to change.


  • Lead the development of the UX/UI for each of our product initiatives.

  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test, iterate, and evolve your designs.

  • Build user personas and interactive prototypes in order to test the user experience.

  • Prioritize and promote accessibility through design.

  • Iterate on existing product features, identify user experience issues and opportunities, and recommend and champion changes.

  • Contribute to a growing design system.

  • Create final visual designs that can be implemented by the engineering team.


  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience working as a UX and/or visual designer in a growing SaaS business.

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent design background. Please provide a portfolio link or pdf.

  • Demonstrated understanding of layout and typography.

  • Experience as a UX designer for mobile-first and responsive design, business to business SaaS products, and landing pages.

  • Experience with prototyping and mockup tools such as InVision and Sketch.

  • Fluency in the latest Web standards and responsive design. Well-versed in fundamental visual and interactive design disciplines and principles.

  • Deep experience with page optimization, A/B testing tools, and end user data analysis.

  • Strong conceptualization and visual communication ability.


  • Previous experience working in digital advocacy/civic technology.

  • Knowledge of design systems and translating brands into digital components. 

  • Experience as a UX designer for native iOS and Android apps. 

  • Ability to take initiative when bringing projects to fruition.

  • Basic HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
