At ReD, visual communication is an important and integrated tool for communicating and translating our insights and recommendations into tangible, actionable, and compelling ideas. ReD's aesthetics transport the message in clear and original presentations aimed at creating strategic change for some of the world's leading companies.
The small team of visual communications designers at ReD works closely with the consulting project teams to transform data, analysis, and ideas into visual presentations. Our designers are key to helping us communicate our ideas to clients in a clear, distinct, and convincing way ? guided by ReD's design guidelines.
Designers at ReD play an important role in developing visual skills for consultants and build capacity for visual communication in their work. The designers also help strengthen and develop the brand through visual material across all our platforms.
We are looking for a designer with:
Outstanding skills in visual communication, graphic design, and illustrations, with an emphasis on visual hierarchy, good structure and clear communication, and able to make power-point presentations magical
A hands-on approach, to help develop the tools and intellectually curious in what visual communication can accomplish
A natural communicator and visual coach who is passionate about guiding others
The ability to seamlessly adapt to project work and ReD's visual style
A flair for working independently and being proactive in a high-speed and sometimes unpredictable work environment
Able to be flexible and work across time zones when needed
Experienced or expert users in Adobe package and Microsoft PPT, and Word
Curious and interested in working closely with the fields of social science, research, business strategy, and innovation.
On-project design work ? The Designer will both assist teams and have individual responsibility for visual communication for presentations: this includes graphic design, data visualization, illustrative work e.g., scenario illustration.
The work is mainly conducted in PowerPoint.
Coaching and guiding ? Working closely with teams as the only visual communicator also means guiding teams to perform better as visual communicators, help with training and guidance
Developing tools and assets ? the designer will also help develop tools and assets for projects and make them part of the visual toolbox.
Art Direction and creation of post-project deliverables ?projects can include creating microsites, booklets, and video productions.
Internal design work ? internal design projects connected to the visual representation of the brand ? website, visual identity, and all other visual materials that define our brand for us and for the world - graphic design, data visualization, illustrative work, website design, and layout. This work is both in Adobe package & SquareSpace for websites.
You will refer to the Director of Brand.
ReD is a strategy consulting company with offices in Copenhagen and New York. Our work uses deep insights to make actionable recommendations for our clients. We call our approach Sensemaking. This unique approach marries methods from the social sciences and rigorous synthesis with traditional business techniques.
The anthropologists, sociologists, economists, journalists, etc. who make up ReD employ the methods of social science to study human behavior and help our clients develop a new perspective on their business.
