The Web Designer works closely with the web development team to design, develop and maintain websites and applications. This may include, but is not limited to website branding and design, with a focus on CSS (SASS)/HTML/JavaScript, and support of global projects.

This position requires superior analytical skills, ability to understand a problem and apply a solution. The successful candidate is expected to have solid communication skills, both verbal and written, and should demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform design and development of existing web applications and develop new web projects
  • Ensure that code developed and/or implemented conforms to current industry best practices with respect to data security and performance
  • Ensure web applications are stable, perform well in low bandwidth environments, and run on a variety of devices / browsers
  • Perform maintenance, testing and debugging of existing web applications
  • Use version control system(s) to effectively manage changes
  • Provide detailed documentation
  • Additional projects as assigned


  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
  • 2 or more years of professional web design experience
  • Proficient in HTML/HTML5 and CSS3
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, jQuery or similar JavaScript library
  • Experience in Server Side Languages such as CFML, C# or PHP
  • Experience working with Web Video
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Office 2013/2016
  • Strong knowledge of web architecture, page layout, typography and photo editing
  • Must be flexible to work extra hours as dictated by the demands of the role
