Web Designer

Lattimore and Friends is a web development agency that works with creative agencies to deliver mostly WordPress builds. We are looking for a web designer to take on a redesign for a London restaurant. 

The client is looking for something bold/fun and for a new build that has continuity from restaurant to website. Being based in central London, they have a very diverse demographic, so whilst the design will need to be fun/bold it will also need to consider takeaway options and the tourist sector. We have a further detailed brief for the successful applicant.

An ideal candidate who will be familiar with working with responsive designs with 'mobile-first' in mind. Additionally, the project will eventually be taken into a WordPress build and we will be utilizing Gutenberg for the development stage of the project. 

In terms of contract and payment, we prefer to work via UpWork under an hourly contract with or via a fixed fee with milestones in place. We are also open to other methods, please state this in your application.

Scope of Work:

  • Redesign a restaurant website which will include a landing, about, contact, menu. The site will be built out with modularity in mind, meaning that the pages (see Gutenberg Wordpress)

  • Provide at least two proposed design mock-ups for review 

  • Provide at least two proposed style guides for reviews

  • The design will need to be designed with mobile-first in mind and should have various breakpoints considered - Large / Desktop / Tablet / Mobile

  • Experience with Wireframing - not essential.

  • Able to work over the next 3 to 4 weeks.

Web Designer Skills / Requirements:

  • 2+ years of professional experience

  • An online portfolio or examples of sites you've designed.

  • Front-end coding knowledge is greatly valued but not required.

  • Communication - Ability to regularly communicate ideally via Slack.

  • Fluent English.

  • Description of you and your availability

  • Examples of at least two websites designed and implemented by you

  • You portfolio

  • Your hourly rate in $/£
